The movement resumed due to the tears of Tikait, farmers started gathering in Ghazipur, Mahapanchayat announced

Power and water cuts were going on at the protest site since Wednesday. After the DM's order, the signal to vacate the protest venue was clear. But by the evening, the atmosphere changed.

The spirit of surrender had stopped the air of Ghazipur on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border till Thursday afternoon. Thousands of farmers who had been camping on the borders of Delhi for two months had assumed that the protest venue would be vacant soon. After the violence on 26 January, a large number of police personnel were reaching the protest site since morning. Soon the news came that the Ghaziabad DM had verbally issued an ultimatum to the farmers to leave the picket by night.

Power and water cuts were going on at the protest site since Wednesday. After the DM's order, the signal to vacate the protest venue was clear. But by the evening, the atmosphere changed. In the evening the leaders of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, who are accused of inciting violence during the Republic Day tractor parade, reached Ghazipur and addressed the public. Farmers interacted with senior police officers and district administration and then everything changed. The BKU leaders' interaction with the administration failed and the leaders alleged that the police were bringing BJP leaders with them.

Will not surrender

Despite all the speculation, the BKU leaders announced that whatever happens, they will not surrender and will continue the protest. In several FIRs, Namil BKU national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait reached the podium and said that he would not surrender and would call more people to join the protest if needed.

Leaving the stage and talking to the media, Tikait wept. He said crying that he would prefer to end his protest against agricultural laws by committing suicide instead of returning from here. He announced that he would go on hunger strike at the picket site and drink only the water of his village.

Threat to my life: Tikait

Tikait claimed his life was in danger and alleged that the goons with weapons were sent to the protest site. Rakesh Tikait said that we want to give arrest in a peaceful manner. But it seems that there are plans to incite violence during the return of the protesters. If there is such a plan, then I will stay here and face the bullet.

Tikait's tears proved to be the elixir for the protest. Soon hundreds of his supporters gathered outside the house of Raket Tikait in Sisauli in UP and started raising slogans.

Mahapanchayat announcement

His brother Naresh Tikain, who had earlier agreed to vacate the Ghazipur protest site, announced a maha panchayat in Muzaffarnagar to further the movement. Naresh Balian is the leader of Khap Panchayat. It is the strongest Jat organization in Western UP.

After this, the video of Tikait started spreading like fire on social media. Its effect was seen by 11 pm The number of farmers in Ghazipur once again started increasing. Groups of farmers from Mareth, Baraut, Baghpat and Muradnagar started arriving at the scene to support Rakesh Tikait.

Thousands of farmers will reach Ghazipur

The National Jat Federation also reached Ghazipur. Jat leader Rohit Jakhar said that this is a fight against the death of our farmers. Thousands of farmers will reach here by morning. With this, the Tikait supporters in Kandela in Haryana blocked the Jind-Chandigarh road in protest.
